FTP over HTTP Proxy = Error: Connection to server timed out

Hello,

I'm using the HTTP Proxy which can also handle FTP Connectons. I know, that this worked before but now I get the following errors. I don't know if this is related to my recent update to 8.100.

I try to reach an open (anonymous) FTP-Server (e.g. ftp.avm.de or ftp.heise.de). After some time of waiting the HTTP-proxy log shows error="Connection to server timed out". And I get a browser page like this:

530 Please login with USER and PASS.
530 Please login with USER and PASS.

530 Please login with USER and PASS.

and so on...

Can anybody confirm that this is a bug in 8.100?

    Hi Stephan,

    i got the same issue.

    Everything was working so far as you wrote down - after update to v8.100 i got the same "error".

    In side the webadmin go to WEBSECURITY-FTP-ADVANCED

    My FTP Proxy was running in transparent and non-transparent mode (BOTH) - and after i did the update - i had to define the FTP-PROXY Skiplist (on ADVANCED tab) and enable the checkbox "allow FTP Traffic for listed hosts/networks".

    FTP Proxy Skiplist in my case is exactly the same group of networks/hosts listed on the first FTP tab.

    This helped for me.
