HTTP/S Proxy and QoS working together

Hello,

Virginmedia 10mb/512kb

I have been using QoS to limit 2 users on a 3 user network from hogging all the bandwidth Using 

bandwidth pool internal up -virginmedia upload speed 512KB 2 users have 128kb each
and 
external (WAN) up -virginmedia download speed 10mb 2 users have 1MB each

As soon as I enable HTTP/S proxy it stops working. Is it possible to have both running at the same time. I have looked around on the forum and tried some of the mentioned methods, but they dont seem to work for me.

Its amazing the forum has loads of posts about QoS and HTTP/S proxy, but it just isnt making sense to me.

So if it IS possible could someone please help.

    Hi,
    QOS only works when there is a variety of traffic on the network that is pushing the bandwidth towards its maximum.

    If you want QOS to work you only apply the rules to the interfaces you control eg on the internal interface of you LAN for the incoming traffic and on the outgoing interface on your outgoing traffic.
    You spell out the total bandwidth available on the interface, then you specify some portions of this to each traffic type making sure you never over allocate.
