We have a ticket in to Astaro on this and I will update if they provide a solution, but I wanted to also post this up to see if anyone else has seen anything similar.
We are ASG 8.100 running on 3 physical servers, all identical, they are 6 core CPU 64 bit 8GB of ram.
When HTTP proxy is in standard mode, and browsers are configured to point to the cluster on default port 8080, only some of them work, meaning some clients will connect, others wont, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to which ones connect. In the HTTP live log, only one node ever handles the requests even though it is in 3 node HA mode. In contrast, more than one node is processing SMTP packets.
Okay, so switching the HTTP proxy to full transparent mode, and yes we are in bridged mode, and then shutting down two nodes only leaving one running, traffic flows perfectly. We have tested this on all nodes, turning others off and only leaving one running. If we turn on another node, as soon as it goes from syncing to active, it breaks browsing again.
So long story short, it seems as though transparent mode only works on a single node active, not when multiple nodes in the cluster are active.
