Hardware required by WAF

Hello,
I have an ASG with v7.508. At the end of this month will expire one of my subscriptions, so I'm thinking to move to Full Guard (and upgrade to v8!). I have a question about WAF performances. Currently I have these active features:

6 Interfaces
Firewall with 99 rules
Intrusion Prevention
IM/P2P Control
HTTP/S Proxy
FTP Proxy
SMTP Proxy
POP3 Proxy
AntiVirus for protocols HTTP,FTP,SMTP,POP3
AntiSpam for protocols SMTP,POP3
AntiSpyware
VPN SSL
VPN IPSEC
NTP Server
DNS Server
DHCP Server

From my last monthly executive report:
CPU: Average 7%, Maximum 81%
Memory: Average: 68, Maximum 86%
Swap: Average 682m, Maximum 13,03 (?? percentage?)

In your opinion will WAF work fine if I have to protect 10 web sites with overall 30.000 requests in a day?

Thank you

  • I don't know what the pricing structure is like in Italy, but, in North America, Full Guard is cheaper that the sum of the three subscriptions for Network, Web and Mail Security.

    Cheers - Bob
