Exception for scanning file exclusions

Hello together.

Is it possible to set file exclusions on a whitelist, so that not all files will be scanned through the antivirus/malware scanner?

We have problems with multiple programs, i.e. timeouts or wrong URL.
One example is that eclipse can't download any updates if jar files will be scanned.

I read about the possibility to make exceptions using the URL filtering and regular expressions. Is this the only way to make exceptions for scanning files?

    You can add exceptions to the following levels:
    -Source Hosts/Networks
    -Target URLS
    -Categories
    -Users/Groups

    In your case I would suggest to check the destination URLs/Domains that your application uses and add them as exceptions to the target URLs in the WEB proxy configuration.
