HTTP Proxy standard mode and profiles

Hi,

I would like to change our HTTP proxy setup to "standard" but would like use the "profiles" function to customize user options. The only thing is that the profile requires User's to be set up.  

How do I map a particular user IP to a user name. Then I could use the name in the HTTP Profile section. I see it mentioned in the documentation but can't find out how to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

    Hello Julio,

    The idea is that you setup proxy profiles, assign them to filter assignments which have filter actions. So for example if you want to setup a group of users based on IPs only, you can do the following:
    -Plan on how many groups of IPs you want to create.
    -Plan on the action filters for those groups
    -Create the filter actions first
    -Create the filter assignments pointing to the appropriate filter actions and leave Users/Groups portion of the filter assignments emtpy
    -Create the appropriate proxy profiles with the coresponding group of IPs mapping to the filter assignments you want. Set operation mode to standard or transparent.

    !!!Note that the proxy profiles order matters!!!
