AV not working no WEB access

Since late Thursday our ASG 120 v7.507 has been giving us the following message and no one has been able to browse the web.

[0xb1113680] avira_scan (avirascanner.c:330) failed to get scanner instance

As soon as I turn off Antivirus scanning in the web profile web browsing works.

Where should I look?

Still having the problem? Try enabling AV scanning for the FTP proxy, that will make the ASG grab the latest patterns and most likely fix the issue.

Do I need to turn the web av back on before enabling the ftp version, or will just turning on ftp proxy and enabling scanning work?

You can just enable it on the FTP proxy first, that will trigger pattern updates for A/V to resume. If you have patterns set to check/update every 15 minutes, give it 30 minutes and then re-enable A/V on the web proxy to test it.
