V8.001 can't update Firefox

I'm new to Astaro and have it running in my home network.  Everything is running OK, but I can't update Firefox from within Firefox.  Firefox detects there's a new version (3.6.9), but when it (from within Firefox) attempts to download it, it hangs on trying to connect to the update server.  I've found a few posts and have tried disabling the http/s AV temporarily and that didn't fix it for me.

What else should I try to troubleshoot this?

    I am going to assume that you use standard HTTP and not transparent with HTTP/S enabled. You should create an exception for "mozilla" and check the AV and SSL Scanning [:)]

    Adding "mozilla" on the exception will allow you to update firefox,thunderbird and install addons as well

    Thanks for the suggestion.  

    My operation setting was on 'transparent' (the default setting I think), so I changed that to standard and added the exceptions.  I added *mozilla.org and *mozilla.com and checked off AV and SSL scanning.  Very strange because I tried 1 PC and it updated so I thought that was it, but I tried another and it didn't work.  Strange behavior.  The one that worked was WinXP and the one that didn't is Win7.  Could this be related to the platform?  I've got another WinXP machine I'm going to try.

    Also, is there much different between standard and transparent.  I read the doc and it said that standard needed a proxy setting in the browser, but the browser still seems to work without having made any changes.
