Strange behavior of web-proxy

Hi,

these days we test the web-proxy with transparent authentication. After three days I notice some behavior which is strange ...

1. We have set the Authentication Timeout to 28800 seconds, but I was forced within 8 hours to authenticate 3 times without any restart of my computer

2. If the authentication requests my credentials I can still open some URLs without authentication, e.g. "gmx.de" and some other more - but these URLs are not on any skip list.

3. On the file extension filter list we do not have .zip and .dmg files and sometimes such downloaded files will not be scanned respectively the astaro download windows does not appear.

Can anybody explain this behavior?

    Not sure about #1.

    2. When you cancel authentication, the locally cached copy is pulled from your own browser. Clear the browser cache before trying #2.

    3. Download window is dynamic. It looks at the speed of the download and if the download time is small, the content is scanned inline without the window popping up. Clear the browser cache for this test also.
