FTP Browsing from My Computer

Hello,

We have just upgraded to V7 Astaro (7.506). Basically when we had V6 our users would use My Computer to browse to FTP files and then pull them down to be stored on our server. One problem, now we have V7. Our users cannot do this anymore. In fact they can't even log on to the FTP server they are trying to access.

I, myself have tried to do this using the same method and I can access it no problem.

I am a superadmin on our firewall but the user in question is not.

Is there a way to give her access to the FTP server she needs to get to without making her a superadmin?

    Hi Bob,

    The FTP server in question is external.

    Not sure about HTTP/S Proxy mode, although we have exceptions configured in HTTP/S Profiles.

    FTP Server is on and allowed for internal network users.

    Not sure about HTTP/S Proxy mode, 

    I'll guess that means "Transparent" mode.

    Since you said your were browsing to the directory, I assumed you are accessing with a browser instead of an FTP client. Watch the FTP and HTTP live logs while using FTP, and then watch those along with the  packet filter live log while the user tries.

    Do you see something different that hints at the problem?
