Maybe you can create an Exception for http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/ with everything but Anti-Virus, but I bet you need to not go through the proxy for that site.

I looked up 502 which is:

502 Bad Gateway
    The server was acting as a gateway or proxy and received an invalid response from the upstream server.

I think that the 502 is returned by Astaro, and not the target website.

If you put that together with the "final CRLF invalid: 2231" that is in the log,

What I think it means is, the target website returned a line ending that astaro doesn't understand, report it as invalid. The thing is everything works fine when not going trough the proxy.

So I think this is a bug with the astaro proxy which does not support that CRLF ending where it should.

You could be right, but that site also is similarly blocked in V7.50x, so it could just as well be a misconfiguration in their Apache web server.  In any case, I'll report it via my reseller account since I can generate the same issue on our Astaro.

In the meantime, if you want to access their site, you'll have to skip the proxy for now.[;)]

Sorry to dredge up such an old thread, but I just encountered the same error on a current version 9.305-4 Sophos UTM. One of the kids is home and tried to see his personal messages on a game-related forum. There are no problems with that website except when checking for unread messages. In that case, the Sophos banner appears with the following message:

"An error occurred while handling your request
 While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.example.com/forums/conversations/REDACTED/unread
 The content could not be delivered due to the following condition: Invalid Response"

The Web Filtering log file shows the same error that x-cimo found years ago. Here is the one that I saw:

I created a Web Filtering Exception but it did not work. No matter how I configure the Web Filtering exception, the Sophos banner reappears every time, consistently.

Am I forgetting to do something simple that would bypass this block? 

Is this an old bug that was never fixed?

P.S. I tried whitelisting the domain and subdomains for the website. It is still blocked. How do I bypass an "invalid response" error from a website?
