[8.000] User based reporting or exceptions in transparent mode

Hi there,

I'm running HTTP-Proxy in transparent mode. Is there a way to do user based (or station name based) reporting or exceptions without having user to logon in any way.

If I recognized correctly Active Directory SSO just works with providing proxy settings to every browser, not in transparent mode. At the moment my logs only show IP adresses which can change (DHCP).

Is there a way to get more information into the logs or have something like SSO while using transparent mode?

    It's an old application done by some who left our company long ago. There's no way to setup a HTTP-proxy. I know I should try to get rid of this thing as soon as possible.

    I have to admit AD-SSO sounds really charming. I think it's something I will have a look at.

    In the past I had another issue with proxy settings. I did them manually in the browser but this lead to problems outside the LAN. Users with Notebooks had problems when they were outside because the browser tried to reach the proxy. Of course this failed.

    I read something about automatic proxy settings and so on to solve this problem. Any hint where to find more information how to do setup with the ASGs?
