7.506 "no av database" again

Has anyone the same problem again with an Astaro update?

I've upgraded to 7.506 and the proxy says: "No AV database".
After changing to "Single Scan", it works!

What the hell is happening here again and again?
Does Astaro have a test center? It seems not!

And how to know when "Dual scan" is possible again?

  • Hi ffiene,

this happened also to me some weeks ago without upgrading to 7.506 (it was not yet published).
I think it was a crash of av engine.
In this situation I changed to single av and then to dual av again.
After this, the dual av returned to normality.

    Cheers
  • No, changing back du Dual Scan did not solve the problem!

Proxy is only working with Single Scan right now.

I hate this! Astaro is getting frowzy with their updates.
  • I googled:

    site:astaro.org clamav database

    I found Cath's solution: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/55/p/43950/155793#155793

    Cheers - Bob
PS Changing back to dual scan only works after an update of the ClamAV patterns.

  • Yes, but both directories are there.

    Funny is the ACL:

     astaro:/var/storage/chroot-http/var/pattern # ll
    total 8
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jul 17 16:57 avira
    drwxrwx--- 2 root root 4096 Jul 17 16:59 clamav

    Anyone?

It is obvious, i changed with chmod o+rx clamav to

     astaro:/var/storage/chroot-http/var/pattern # ll
    total 8
    drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jul 17 16:57 avira
    drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Jul 17 16:59 clamav

And how funny, Dual Scan is working again!

It seems that during the update the ACL has been changed!
    Ahhhhhhhh!

I will have a look onto my other machines if the same thing has been happened.

  • I've checked on some ASG 220s, everything is perfect on the appliances.

The error happened on a software based Astaro.

    I am confused ...
