V8 bypass web filter questions

I'm running ASG's on Astaro hardware so I am on 7.505. V8 isn't on Up to Date yet and I can wait for V8.

One Astaro Feature Request that I had wanted was the bypass feature for web filters. I see its ready on V8. (Schweet!)

Before I roll out V8, I have a few questions for those already on V8.

1) Can this feature be turned on or off? If off, will users still see a password box in the denial page anyways? HR may not want this feature turned on no matter what and I'd like to avoid unnecessary calls to Help Desk asking for a non-existant password if I can.

2) How is the password defined? Is it by user, groups or is there a master password that you would have to hand out to users on a per request basis?

3) How long does the bypass last?

4) How much logging or reporting comes built in as if I have people bypassing the web filter, I want to know when and how often.

1) This feature is always on, you can control who can use it by adding users to an allow list.

2) The password is based on the user definition in Astaro.

3) 15 minutes.

4) Bypass usage is logged and is in Reporting >> Web Security >> Blocked Usage

Ill add to scotts correct responses. For the reporting, it is actually quite useful. You can see not only the overrides but you can choose from two reports, the site override report lets you easily figure out which sites have been overridden the most, in case you need to adjust your filter policy or else click on a site in the report to see who is doing all that overriding.

Further, you can view a users report, which shows you that joe has been the top overrider during the period of say a week, with 240 overrides. Clicking on him will then show you the sites, their categories, and his reason(s).

Its a great feature.

Does anyone have a screen shot of what this new password feature looks like on the denial page that they are willing to share?
