Web Security Statistics - Today

How do I have ASG display the DNS names for "Top Users by Time Spent" and "Top Users by Traffic" instead of the IP addresses.  This information is displayed when you click on the "Web Security" tab and is displayed as a dashboard.  Our company uses DHCP for our workstations and it would be much better if we could see the FQDN name instead of the IP address.

  • 'Network Services >> DNS' 'Request Routing' tab.  If your internal network is 192.168.1.0/24, create an entry '1.168.192.in-addr.arpa -> {internal DNS/WINS server}'.

Is that what you were looking for?

    Cheers - Bob
PS This was a lesson I learned from BarryG.

  • Bob, I'm trying to get DNS resolution so that I get the name of the host rather than its IP address.  This seems built in for external sites visited since ASG has a built in DNS resolver for public addresses, there does not seem to be the capability for it to point to an internal DNS to resolve interan hosts.
