Web Browing Slowness

Hi

Currently, I "locked down" my Firewall with NO LAN -> Internet = Allow Rule.

This way, it is 100% via the HTTP Proxy which works.

But it is Really Significant slowness as long as I disable the LAN -> Internet Rule.

For DNS, I set it to use Astaro who in turn use Open DNS.

But I do not understand how come the browsing performance is significantly slower.

If I just turn on the rule, it simply is faster.

    I havent spottet it either, enabled it the other day here in my home edition to play around with the webfiltering and layer 7 visibility.
    But saw no storage options..

    Running the home edition on a ASG120 rev.4 with dual core Atom and 1G memory, my wife startet complaining about her computer.. I asked what was wrong and she said well facebook takes minutes to load.(I was not blocking anything, just monitoring )
    Then I disabled the web filtering and it runs smooth again.

    That said, its a nice functionality but for 2 home users on a ASG120 its not impressive in performance when even the wife discovers you enabled something in the firewall :-)

    Thank You for sharing the "code"

    I have to admit I am not following the development as closely since simply busy with work.

    But I am disappointed to know it did not make it to 8.201, I did remember it is suppose to be in the 8.2. 

    We easily waited 6 months for it?

    As for this "code", if I type wrongly etc, I can simply restore the "backup configuration" right.

    I am not a command line person nor do I understand linux.
