7.505: IM blocking activated, skype still connected

Hi Folks,
i've a strange situation. I've blocked a few months ago skype by the im blocking. So far so good, this worked like a charm. Yesterday I updated the ASG to 7.505

Today I was online with my notebook and my skype (version 4.0.0.227) was able to connect. I didn't realized whether this was possible before the update.

Outgoing there are only a few ports allowed. The Clients are connected through the transparent proxy.

Are there some additionals ways to block skype? It this a known issue?

check the box for Scan HTTPS (SSL) Traffic (HTTP/S 'Globaltab)

HTTPS scanning is not enabled

Hmm thats not possible, because they need the official for some webpages (this would give a very long exception list.

is there another way?

thx! this was the solution.

but my question to astaro: why do you have a im/p2p block which does not work without the proxy blocking? [:)]

Because skype is designed to avoid all blocks or filters.
A security managers worst nighmare auto block avoiding software.
