Uncategorized sites not being blocked?

Are you also blocking the "Suspicious and Uncategorized" category?

I've often wondered how something can be categorized as "Uncategorized" [:P]

This is what I did I checked off under the "URL filtering tab" block uncategorized sites and the web site already mentioned was not blocked. I get a phone call from another employee who had Idaho Pacific Corporation, The best potatoes that Idaho has to offer. blocked as an uncategorized site. I removed the setting. I then went to the employee profile found the including sub categories uncategorized sites and check that off. Voila it blocked the confederate.
My question is why do I have to go that far to block a category when I have checked off all these other settings to block uncategorized sites?
Either I have a setup problem or there is a problem with the web filter.
I am on 7.504

This is what I was getting at in my post above; the use of "Uncategorized" as a category is both contradictory and confusing.

What you're seeing is a web site (the "confederates") that IS categorized, but is categorized as "Uncategorized", so you have to block the "Uncategorized" category.

Conversely, the Idaho Pacific site is genuinely uncategorized, meaning that it has not yet been assigned to ANY category, so it gets blocked it you select the "Block access to uncategorized sites" checkbox.

Confused yet?  [:S]

IMHO the "Uncategorized" category should be called something like "Undetermined" or even "Not Otherwise Categorized" to avoid this unnecessary confusion and contradiction.

Excellent suggestion, jetkins!  This would seem to be a freebie bug report for anyone participating in the beta.
