Have numerous clients with AD authentication setup and it works 99.9 percent of the time. However, on a weekly or up to a monthly basis users begin getting prompted for username and password. This is not limited to a few users it is all of them when this occurs. Entering valid creds in the popup fails with domain\username or just username. Tried it all believe me.
Tech support initially said must be something wrong with the DC however I can run tests on users accounts and it passes no problem while this is going on with the username and password prompt. It will continue to do this until we either reboot the unit and wait or we have tried to flush the authentication cache which one support engineer told us to do and it still may take 30 - 40 min. before it works again. I discovered today by trial and error to just shut the http/s proxy off and then back on and it works again magically.
If it was one client I would say okay something wrong here on my side but every client we have it happens to tells me it is some failure occuring in their unit.
Anyone else experienced this with the Web Gateways?
