Problems after shutdown

I had to shutdown my astaro server last night due to power being unstable(i have it on a ups).  the server shutdown normally.  I jsut brought it back up and now if i have the proxy on i get a read-only file system error if i try to surf anywhere.  I had to disable the proxy for things to work again.  Other than reloading anyone have any tips?

  • If you turn off cacheing and you still can't get the proxy to work, then it sounds like a hard disk error, don't you think?

  • You could unmount that partition and run fsck on it; I'd also run
    badblocks -nvs
on the partition too (while unmounted).

  • I went digging into the logs and i have tons of journal errors..[:(] I think i'll run spinrite on the disk to see if it's failing.  If it is I have some spares..[[:)]]  If it passes i ahve a backup file so i'll reload it..[[:)]]

  • spinrite passed hdd...stress linux passed hardware...fsck came up with nothing..yet i still continue to get read-only filesystem errors from the proxies.  REformat/reload/reupdate/restore backup/reboot fixed it.
