EVP_DecryptFinal failed

I have this messages in the http proxy log file
[ (nil)] sc_decrypt (scr_scanner.c:437) EVP_DecryptFinal failed
[ (nil)] sc_server_cmd (scr_scanner.c:630) decrypt failed

what does it mean?

The communication to our Contentfilter Servers is encrypted. Usually this error message is caused by some Upstream Proxy which blocks communication to cffs0[1-10].astaro.com.
