[solved]Get Authentication Failed on 1 of the 2 windows 7 pcs using the same account.

I have 2 Windows 7 system(s).
Both are member of a Windows 2003 domain and i use on both machines the same username / password combination.

In am using  Active Directory SSO for authentication (configured at the general page and the proxy-profile.

Both machines are using the same internet browser ( IE8).

When checking the http proxy log i see the following.
adir_auth_process_negotiate (auth_adir.c:311) gss_accept_sec_context: An unsupported mechanism was requestedNo error 

What could cause this problem ?

I am runnning the latest version Release 7.502

    I am having this exact same problem. I'm about to beat my head up against a wall.. :/ On the client side all I get is immediate auth failed astaro screens in the browser. At first I would at least get prompted for a username and password, which it refused to accept... even though it would accept it fine in the AD ldap bind test. Any help you guys can give us having this problem would be great.

    anyone have anything to add on this? I'd like to get my web proxy setup correctly.... I'm dead in the water until I can get somthing figured out... I've tried everything and searched until my eyes have bleed... Help would be much appreciated.

    I am having the exact same problem above. This problem started happening for me when I installed computer time monitoring software called "softwaretime" I have un-installed the software but I still have the problem. I have logged a support call at their helpdesk and are awaiting their response. If I find out what it is I will let you know.

    Hi Guys, In my case there was some registry or DLL issue. I did a system restore from before I installed the "SoftwareTime" and everything is working OK again. Hope this helps a little.

    I do not know how or why, but mine started working out of the blue.... I can find absolutely no reason why, I didn't change a thing. I've since then customized the config to take advantage of the proxy profiles, and now running into a different issue. [:(] On my laptops that access through souly proxy AD auth, not any skiplists for hosts, the network connection shows it to not have internet access, only local network access. I am writing this reply on one such machine, so obviously I am on the inet.... I may just have something configured wrong some place. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

    I have just worked out what has caused my "authenication" problems. I installed "Microsoft Office Live add-in 1.4". This also installed "Microsoft Live ID Sign-In Assistant". It was the "ID Sign-In Assistant" that was causing the problem. A soon as I un-installed this application and re-booted my PC the authenication problems went away.

    Hope this helps someone.

    Awesome, this fixed my issues as well. I was able to duplicate this situation. How did you manage to track this down? Did you submit a ticket/bug report? Thanks a BUNCH for this, its been driving me insane.

    This was a problem for me on a Windows 7 machine this morning.

    After uninstalling the problem is resolved.
