Password Protected ZIPs being caught by HTTP content scanner

Hello All,

Ran into this one today. ZIPs cannot be scanned if they are password protected. The error I see is:

Archive contains encrypted contents

This is annoying. Is there a way to work around it?

TIA!

James

  • There is a setting in the HTTP Proxy config that you can set that will allow unscannable content to pass.  Check the advanced tab, Misc Settings group... there's a "pass unscannable content" checkbox there.

  • Cool. That did the trick [:)]
  • This thread contained my answer - thanks so much. But is there a quicker way (than searching the Forums) to find any message that ASG shows when it doesn't allow something? In this case, the message was "Archive contains encrypted contents". I've seen many others like this, and would love to find a list of them, with an explanation of each one, and most important, instructions for getting around it for trusted sites. Does such a list exist?
    Thanks!
