I've read the documentation and played with the http profiles for a few days now and I'm still trying to figure if there is a way to configure Astaro so that everybody will use the transparent http proxy and, once you get to a restricted page, then you would have the ability to provide a username/password in order to set credential that may (or may not) give you access to the restricted site.
I know I can restrict individual for different website based on username/password (transparent with authentication) but it is annoying to have to log (and often relog now and then) for standard browsing. I just want the standard browsing to work for 95% of the pages we use and if there is a page restricted by a category/filter, be able to override the decision by providing a username/password that has a larger access.
Filtering based on category is nice but... there is always some links that you want to follow that are getting blocked because of offensive keywords or rating. I don't want to have to change the settings for those occasional sites and that's why an override system would be a better approach.
I hope I've missed it and somebody will be able to explain the recipe. If not, well, I guess it will become a feature request.
Thank you.
