Certain Websites don't work with HTTP/S Proxy

Hi,

I am in transparent mode, and have the web-security enabled.

I however, have certain https-ssl websites that will not work with Astaro.  If i disable the proxy, they then work fine.

What's the fix?

I am having the same issue. I have a website that we use for tracking sick days. On my Admin machine here I have added it as a transparent mode skiplist.. When I try to access the site, I can get to it without SSL errors coming up. When I try from a "user" machine using Internet Explorer I get..

"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors. Click here for options..."

When I click the Information Bar, I click Display blocked content. All works fine after that. The users here however do not like having to do that extra click...

I have added the site, and all the sites it links too a exception list to skip all HTTP/S checks.

What Astaro version are you on?  What browser and version do the users have?

this is sometimes a case, where sites just do not like to be proxied. For this, in transparent mode, do not use "exceptions" , but add the sites in question to the HTTP proxy transparent skiplist, located on the advanced tab. this will essentially "de-proxy" them, allowing them to work properly.

Thanks both of you for the responses. Worked like a charm. Should I add exceptions at all to unblock sites or only when I have ssl issues?

Exceptions will be normal to use with standard HTTP websites.  For HTTPS websites though as you want to completely skip the proxy use the Transparent skiplist option.
