how to make my astaro v6 to stopped some people from browsing from 8am to 1700

pls, can anybody tell me how to make my astaro v6 to stopped some people from browsing from 8am to 1700 from mon-to friday and allow others to browse.

Are you using the HTTP Proxy?  If so, you can do this with Proxy Profiles.

You might want to consider upgrading to V7 now.  When you upgrade from V6 to V7, Proxy Profiles are not converted, so you will need to redo this then.

PS If you aren't using the HTTP Proxy, you can achieve the desired result with packet filter rules.

am using proxy then how do i configure it

welll i want use packet filter rule but don't understand it very well. that wat is using before it has problem.

If you are not using the HTTP Proxy, create a 'Time Event' definition, then use it to create a packet filter rule to 'Drop' port 'Web Surfing' packets from the networks/IPs you want to block.  This new rule should be BEFORE your present 'Internal (Network) -> Web Surfing -> Any : Allow' rule.
