Setting up so can download from ftp's

I cannot download updates from ftp clients for netgear or dell using firefox. I am not sure what I am missing when I have recently setup ASG.

I have tried looking through previous posts and unfortunately cannot find an answer. I also looked on the kb and didn't have any luck there.

I have the HTTP Proxy status enabled and setup in transparent mode. 

In definitions>services I have ftp setup with TCP and destination port 20.
Is there anything I am missing or is there any more information required to enable people to help me?

    Firefox 3.5 and Astaro 7.4 are not totally compatible.  Apparently, Firefox is working on some problems and it will work just fine with Astaro 7.5.  So, the first thing to try would be a different browser or FTP client.

    For the FTP Proxy, in 'Allowed networks', put "Internal (Network)"

    Hi,
    If not using ftp proxy, you will need to add extra ports for ftp. Ftp uses a couple of ports, not just port 20.
