Pop3 cant work help!!!!!

Hi pple, 

am new and learning to use astaro v 7.405. Lately i have been trying to cnfigure my outlook 2007 so that i can receive my gmail emails on it thro pop3. The whole thing works fine outside the office but when am ij the office i can access port 995 thats the receiving gmail port. i have also tried including my host addresss under the mailmanager pop3 setting for allowed netwoks but still its not working. Kindly advice 

help!!!

    Hi johnmunyi,

    ASG and Gmail are not compatible, for Gmail allows only SSL access for POP3 which is currently not supported by the ASG.

    thanks alot for the advice. Guess i have to figure this out from a different route.

    You can use your Outlook with Gmail through the Astaro with the appropriate packet filter rules, but you can't use it with the POP3 Proxy for the reason given by Ana.

    It should look like 'Internal (Network) -> [new group of services for Gmail] -> Any'.  Instead of 'Any', you also could create a DNS group for Gmail.com.

    If you aren't sure which services to put in your group, start with the 'Email Messaging' services group and check the box to log it.  Then, you can watch the packet filter live log to see which services actually are used by Gmail.
