http proxy log analyzer tool?

Hi,

does anybody know a tool for analyzing the log files, created by the http proxy ("content filter (http)" log files)? It seems that V7 creates them in a format that nowbody can read anymore, at least I could not find a tool on the internet.

    sorry, I should have been more precise. [:)]

    I want to create usage reports, like many tools can do (Webtrends etc): most active users, most visited websites etc etc. 

    I know that I can do some reports from within WebAdmin, but this much less than I am used to get from a Third Party tool. 

    I already searched on the internet for such a tool, but none of these seems to know Astaro's new http proxy log format. I also checked AWStat, but I think this will not work also, because of the strange date/time format of Astaro's logfile.

    I suppose you also could use the build-in reporting in Webadmin, export the data in a CSV file which you can import into Excel or Access and create your own reports.

    If you want to have a "real" reporting tool which is comparable to Webtrends, you could use Astaro´s own reporting tool called "Astaro Report Manager", which is based on the report generators from eIQnetworks (see their website). But it´s not for free!

    I tried the ARM product with zero luck but so far WebSpy has been working well in my tests and it supports Asstaro.

    I've tried ARM, but this tool is driving me nuts. I was not able to import some of my logfiles and create a report. Might be a nice tool (according to the feature list), but with very high effort to learn how to deal with it.

    I also tried Webspy, but there I also was not able to import my proxy log file. Assuming that "Content Filter (HTTP)" is the right log file type (it's the only one I could find with data that matches a http proxy log), it seems that Webspy only support an old format (see WebSpy Supported Log Formats). The format shown on there website does not match the format of the current ASG firmware (7.4xx).

    Or am I missing something?

    it is working for me but I'm at 7.403 only...

    they have pretty good support - hit the chat button on their main site....

    yes, it works for me also, now. Support told me that I have to update my just-downloaded trial version. Seems that their trial software is quite old. [:)]

    The tool looks nice and if further testing is also positive, I will go for it.

    no problem at all - I have a P.O. on the boss' desk - hoping he will sign it so I don't have to use ARM!
