Allow certain youtube videos block all others

Hi,

We block all video and audio across the board. 

Certain members (marketing) are allowed access to video and audio and I archive this by using the profiles and groups.

So I have a profile for marketing and everyone - marketing get media and everyone else doesn't - great.

No I have a requirement to allow everyone access to certain media - ie a singe youtune video or a page with an embedded video in it.

I'm sure there is a way with maybe the position of the profiles - but I'm getting nowhere.

Has anyone any ideas?

    yesh, with YouB00b slowly becoming the defacto standard "video" repository I get more and more "business" cases requests coming thru...

    Hi Guys,
    try doing a search. There have been a number of threads on the subject. I feel your pain, but I think you are banging your heads against a very thick brickwall.
    The problem with uboob is that it isn't just one site or url, it is many, some being public and others being private.
    So while you can block or allow utube you would have to ask your users as part of their business case for the url of the video they "need" to watch.
    Then your profile management is going to become very messy and time consuming. I expect you would need to put a time limit on how long a video remains available in the ASG, because a lot of videos are replaced eg they have a short life span.

    I agree on it becoming messy - that is why I setup two profiles, one restricted the other not so much...

    I just have to automate a way to remove the user automagically from the unrestricted group after say COB or something...
