google meddling in?

At one of our client's offices, using an Astaro 7.401, we experience something weird after the update to 7.401 (haven't tried v 7.402 but I don't see anything relevant in the changes list).
After the installation of the updates, we notice weird behavior on the web surfing traffic:
About every page consulted is being answered with a Google message about the  browser unable to find the page or a piece of it. After 2 or 3 reloads, the page does come through.

The behavior is seen on Firefox 2 and 3 (recent versions) both on Mac OS X 10.4 and Windows XP , IE 7, Safari... on about all the pc's there...

At our offices, we are running the exact same Astaro version, and don't see this behavior.

Both locations have the HTTP proxy in transparant mode, at our offices, no authentication is needed, at the client's side they use local authentication built in the firewall. 

Anyone that has the same or similar behavior? Or does know what is causing it?

    Do these clients have the google toolbar, or some other toolbar, loaded on their machines? If so, try taking it off.  I've had those toolbars cause trouble before.

    I agree, Bruce, that this is confusing the situation for them, but I don't believe it's the cause of the problem.

    After re-reading the original post, I would observe that authentication doesn't work in transparent mode.  You can see that by the fact that IPs appear in the HTTP log; names would appear if authentication were occurring.  For authentication to function, the user's browser must be pointed at the Astaro proxy.
