Check web and mail traffic for virus and spyware and malware nad spam

Dear all,
Hi, how are you?

I have several HTTP and HTTPS servers and SMTP and POP3 servers behind my ASG-525.
I want to scan web and mail traffics that come from internet users for virus, spyware, malware, and spam.
If i have web and mail security licenses, could i check web and mail traffics for these matter(virus, spyware, mallware, spam).
Could you tell me how can i do it?

I must tell this matter that I have not any clients behind my ASG525.

Thank you.
Best regards.
Ashkan

  • The web security license is a client proxy, so I don't think there's a way to use the HTTP/S Proxy with your web servers, but some others here may know how to do that.

You certainly can use the AV and anti-spam with your mail servers.

    Cheers - Bob

  • thank you for your reply.

So, how can i protect my web and mail servers from virus, spyware, malware and spam?
    Do astaro support ICAP?
With ICAP protocols i can forward HTTP requests toward an external AV.

    Thank you
    Ashkan.
  • I'm not familiar with ICAP, but if you don't have any clients, then why worry about blocking traffic from your own servers?

Unfortunately, you can't just click [Enable] to set up the SMTP Proxy.  You need to ask your reseller to provide some setup services as your question is not specific enough to be answered here.
