EDir authentication with german character fails

Hi,

we just changed Proxy User Authentication from Edir SSO to Basic User Authentication.

When a user tries to authenticate with his eDir password which has a special german characters (f.e. ö,ä,ü), he will not be able to access internet.

The same password with EDir SSO works fine.

How to enable passwords with ä,ö,ü on asg450 with eDir backend Membership and basic user authentication?

    LDAP authentication won't work using special chars in your users' password, sorry.
