Web filter exception

I am having a hard time trying to allow the following site through my ASG.

http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=login&p_lang=english&p_d=trmk

can someone tell the correct way to allow this site?

Thank in advance.

  • Also, I'd like to point out that I wasn't entirely correct above when I told James that using "tess2.uspto.gov/" wouldn't work.  That would have worked with Bruce's catch that the block was on an exe, not because of the category of the URL.

But I was correct that having "*.uspto.gov" does not work; you must use the exact characters you want matched.  In fact, ".uspto.gov", "usp" and "gov" all work, too.

Prior to V7, you could use Perl regular expressions, but I don't think that's the case any longer.  Even then, the *  could not be used.

    Cheers - Bob
