web proxy without subscription

hello

can i have web  proxy enabled and active without web  subscription in ver.7 ?
i want to have simple users in transparent mode to block certain sites and to allow everything else, i have enabled that but 1 month has been expired and now i cant no longer edit or add new sites to block , i dont want to use astaro subscription of categories or antispyware etc.(that is prompting me on top ,that my subscription is invalid) just want to manually enter sites to block .
thanks in advance

  • can't use this functionality w/o license;
    workaround may be to desable the proxy and block the sites via packetfilter
  • You can use the HTTP Proxy, and the other proxies... but none of the filtering features will work, that includes the manual exceptions / blacklisting you want to do.

  • In very early versions (Believe 2 oder 3, made that looong ago) it was possible to include a blacklist in the squid configuration. You need some knowledge at the Linux commandline and in squid configuration, but that worked. Just don't know if this is still possible with actual versions.
