Good luck but it will never happen. They have eDir back end sync but it's VERY unreliable! I opened a case with tech support to address this issue and they only sent me a BS e-mail that didn't address the issue at all. THEN they didn't respond back to me. I ended up closing the case with no resolution.
This weekend, I'm flashing my box and dropping authentication totally.
If you want a box tha't feature rich, get an astaro. If you want support, get something else.
In the past we've tried edir backend sync and it works...it's not pretty but it works...it goes to the directory an reads the current Ip address associated with the authenticated client...the only thing we didn't like is the issue of a user signing in from multiple workstations simultaniously..but if your users log in from a single machine...it works...What we need is this feature along with not touching the proxy setting in the web browser...e.g. "transparent authenticated" would be certanly nice to have...

As I said, good luck. It would be a nice feature to have if edir backend sync was reliable. I only have 75 users on the one box and have three users that can't sync with the back end at all. As you can guess, I'm a novell network for my AST220. I tried the LDAP sync but didn't like that either. Hope you find a resolution.
