Noob Question - HTTP Proxy

Dear all,

I have an Astaro 220 on demo for the next month.

So far I have been able to block IM usage and create rules for proxy usage.  However I have noticed that if a user does not enter the Proxy settings and has the astaro as his/her default gateway they can access the internet.

Can someone tell me how I can stop this from happening, I have been trying to get it to work all day but to no avail!

In a nutshell I want it configured so that unless they have entered the proxy details and are a member of the right group (Internet Users) they cannot access the internet.

    You apparently have created some PacketFilter rules allowing HTTP and likely other traffic out.
    You'll need to change or disable them.

    Ah fantastic, you were right, one of the install generated rules was allowing for web browsing.

    Further to my earlier reply.  It would seem that if I disable the packet filter rule that allows anyone to access the Internet then it simply denies access to EVERYONE.

    I m trying to make it so that unless you are a member of a AD group AND the proxy settings are in place you cannot access the internet.

    Any suggestions most welcome.
