I have a few questions about the HTTP Proxy.
1. When I am using the Standard proxy and I am configuring my browser to point traffic to 192.168.x.x Port 8080 is this being Virus Scanned and checked for Spyware too?
- I have noticed when I use the Standard Proxy setup my web browsing flies!! When I use the Transparent Proxy, my web browsing dragggggggggggs slow as a dog. Pages sometimes time out when I try to open another page while I am downloading something. This does not occur while using the Standard Proxy though which is why I asked if it was scanning anything in this mode because it is so fast.
2. When using the SSL VPN, I can not get it to connect when using the Standard Proxy setup, is there a way to do this, or do I have to go into my gateway everytime and set it back to Transparent Proxy before I head out to travel with my laptop?
- do I have to setup seperate proxy profiles for this purpose then?
