Problems with upgrade to v7.103

Hi

Since upgrading to version 7.103 my HTTP proxy seems to have changed how it works. Most users use the proxy and this is set to run over port 8080 via group policy in theie ie browsers. We also have a bunch of users and servers that do not go via the proxy. Before the upgrade this was simply a case of unckecing the proxy option in ie etc. Since upgrading you cannot connect to the internet without going through the proxy. You also cannot ping out into the internet anymore although i can ping between interfaces. 

In a bit of a hole with this one so any advice is greatfully recieved.

    Sounds like some rules got changed in there somewhere?

    Are the failed outbound HTTP traffic and ICMP requests getting dropped by the packet filter?

    Cant see them getting dropped no and have set a top spot rule to say Internal Networkk ---Any---Any and still cant see them.

    Just a bit more on the proxy it is in standard mode, although makes no difference with transparent and skip lists.

    Can anyone else confirm that they are using the proxy in a similar manner and can simply choose not to use it, by changing proxy settings on the client.

    yes we have some users who use the proxy and other don't and everything is working fine 
    check your packet filter rules for those who dont' use the proxy and the natting also

    After the last 2 updates, something changed.

    Web surfing fails on some sites.

    As an example, can't log into GMAIL at all.  Going to Ebay gets you the main page, but you can't log in.

    I haven't had time to fully debug this yet, but Astaro did break something in the upgrade process.  I even tried to roll back to a backup from earlier in the month, but that didn't solve the problem.

    Anyone else see this?

    For those following this, I blew the box away and reinstalled to 7.101.

    I manually rebuilt all my filters, etc. and now everything almost works fine including https.

    Things I noticed.  The wizard doesn't work correctly for MSN Messenger.  After telling the wizard that I wanted, I then went and checked and all my decisions were inverted (those I wanted were blocked completely, those I didn't want were open).

    MSN Messenger failed to function until I opened up 1863.  BUT, it will only work to one computer, not 2 others.  

    We can close this thread and I'm going to start clean again if I can find a build for 7.104 that I can install from.  Last I checked, it wasn't on the ftp site.

    I've found that using the SOCKS proxy is the most reliable method for IM software.
