Content Filtering Blocks Alot Eh?

I've had like every single category blocked on my home network.  Just for now until I figure Astaro out, but it really seems to block alot.  For example, my wife was trying to look up Michigan Winery's through google and like most of her sites were being blocked.

Why is that?  Obviously when I unchecked the drugs category it seemed to work fine.  Any way to prevent this type of behavior or is it default behavior because the content filtering comes from another master server?

    Yah its weird how this works.  Weather.com, was blocked on my network by default and I didnt want that.  So I figured I'd add it to the whitelist basically. 

     The first screenshot is weather.com, fully unblocked and how it should look like.

    The second screenshot, is weather.com, as it stands when added to the allow list.  Yet it still is missing some of the page content and graphics.

    What gives?

    I'm not sure why you're surprised that it blocks a lot when you ask it to block the categories. 

    We use this in a fair number of schools, the idea being that a kid somewhere can't go out to google, do a search for 'bit tits' and get thumbnails containing nudity, so it's going to block that content. 

    Every web site out there should fall into a category and if  you're blocking that category, everything from that site will be blocked.

    I, for one, am very surprised when "Block uncategorized sites" is clearly unchecked, and yet many sites continue to be blocked due to missing categorization.

    Before I gave up on Astaro's HTTP filtering (I'm close to giving up on Astaro all together), this bug persisted through several 7.x releases.  For all I know, it's still a problem.

    Granted, uncategorized sites were a smaller issue than HTTP filtering blocking all browsing (because of Astaro's server troubles), or the service bringing the sadly underpowered 220 to its knees.
