httpd[8673]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string

HTTP daemon logfile getting flooded with following message:

httpd[8673]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /PerlApp/wfe/asg/modules/asg_logfiles.pm line 803.

The only thing changing is the number between the brackets:

httpd[5341]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /PerlApp/wfe/asg/modules/asg_logfiles.pm line 803.

-or-

httpd[5104]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /PerlApp/wfe/asg/modules/asg_logfiles.pm line 803.

-or-

httpd[5335]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /PerlApp/wfe/asg/modules/asg_logfiles.pm line 803.

At least 13 lines every 2 seconds.

Log starts with the following:

httpd[5341]: [warn] mod_fcgid: stderr: Use of uninitialized value in join or string at (eval 250) line 15.

Rebooting doesn't make a difference. And it doesn't matter if it's full production hours or the dead of night.

Problem seems to have started after making an Exception rule under Web Security - HTTP. Could this be related?

  • The log entries you post, believe it or not, are normal... apparently there was some debug code left in the Proxy when it was released... you can search the Beta forum for one of these entries, and you'll find an article where this is discussed.

  • Thanks. Had searched the forums for "/PerlApp/wfe" and got nothing. Thinking that something so specific could only turn up messages with the same issue.

    Ah well, life and learn.

Now to wait for the right patch.
