Can AStaro HTTP proxy be defeated by external 3rd party proxy?

I recently installed Astaro 7 GW at a friend's house to serve as a web filter for his teenage kids.  He mentioned that his 16 yr. old told him that they defeat the highschool's filtering system by using 3rd party proxy servers.  Can Astaro's HTTP Proxy be defeated in this manner? Please fill us in on any config. hints to prevent this.

Known proxy annonimizer/proxy sites are a blockable group (its default in the IT category).

To my knowledge however, really handy people will probably be able to circumvent things:
If a friend has a machine you could tunnel traffic via this machine.
This is very hard to technically circumvent. Properly setup it is just https traffic to a machine on the net.
Maybe blocking uncategorized websites will prevent this but it is not 100% fool-proof (this machine could be categorized as a different group like a personal website for example) and may block some sites you would want to allow.

So it will never hurts to look at the logs. 
High traffic / most traffic to a certain site will be suspicious.
Further more, not everything has to be technically solved:
If somebody is knowingly circumventing security you should talk to this person and if necessary put up sanctions....
At work you could ultimately sack a person but I guess that this will not be an option in this case [:D]
