Can I have a profile per machine on 7.1?

Currently using 6.3 and am able to use machine / IP addresses as the basis for different content filtering and time actions (i.e. kids machines more strict than adult machines etc.).
Just browsing through the new approach to HTTP proxying in 7.1 and esp. looking at filter assignments, it looks as though a filter assignment can only be allocated on a an authenticated user basis.
I don't use user authentication and don't want to in the future,. My proxy at moment runs in standard mode, and apart from changing browser settings to point to Astaro, I don't have any users set up apart from the default admin user (me).
Is there any way to use 7.1 so I still don't have to authenticate users but can still have different profiles per logged on machine?

    Yes... on 7.x you need to create a network definition for each machine, and then setup profiles for those machines or network groups.

    Make sure user auth is completely disabled or it won't work.

    Thanks Barry, will investigate further, but I have to admit when I looked at it, setting up filter assignments appeared to be possible only on a user or user group basis - do you have a pointer as to what I should be looking at? Many thanks ...

    Once you figure out the new way of doing it, it's actually pretty easy to do.

    You can set it up so that a host or a network can be assigned a HTTP profile.  Same functionality as with v6, you just have to go through a few more hoops to get it going.

    Create your filter action
    Create a Filter Assignment and assign an action to it (Leave the User/Group blank)
    Create a new Proxy Profile and assign it to a network/host
    Choose a filter assignment to use
    Make sure the operation mode is either standard or transparent

    Should work fine after that.  I was scratching my head at first over the User/Group assignment field in the Filter Assignment section.  If you aren't using User Authentication, just don't put anything in there.
