Automatic user creation. Possible bug?

Hi there.

I don’t know whether this is a bug, or misunderstanding/configuration, but here goes…
I have a test setup on Vmware running 7.100 clean install.
SMTP proxy is setup and working.
HTTP proxy is also setup and running both transparent and SSO against AD without problems, but..
I can’t see any users are being created locally even though the checkbox “Create users automatically” is checked. Have I misunderstood this feature? Shouldn’t they be created when a user is surfing through the SSO enabled proxy?

    So it seems that this isn’t a bug.
    From the manual:
    Note – Notice that this feature does not work for Active Directory Single Sign-
    On (SSO).

    Hmm… Has anyone found a way to validate/import users from AD to the User Portal?

    I am having the same issue.  I assumed the SSO would enumerate the AD users.  I cannot log into the end user portal with AD accounts either.

    You require a user group in astaro to auto create users.

    Group Name = (whatever you wish)
    Group Type = Backend Membership
    Backend = Active Directory

    If you use the checkbox "Limit to backend group(s) membership" Only users in the groups you add under Active Directory groups can authenticate and be auto created.

    On top of that it appears the users autogenerated by astaro are case sensitive, whatever you login to the portal with is what your subsequent logins must be.

    If you look at the help, you would notice that in SSO mode, users won't be created !
