http proxy performance and webfiltering

By default the Packet Filter must be enabled. After I enable the http proxy and webfiltering, the CPU reach 100%. The http proxy is restarted once per day automatically. Number of current user is about 500.

I need to apply the web filtering only. Is it possible to disable the http proxy and keep webfiltering? If not, how can I improve it? I try to add a parent proxy. is it a good way?

You give very little information for anyone to help you. You state your user count, but nothing about your hardware.

No, you cannot use web filtering with the http proxy disabled.
