Can someone please explain to me how the new profiles and filter group etc work on V7?
I cant seem to get them to work as expected.
I want to use 3 AD goups we have, that we used to use (in conjunction with http_access) on V6.
They determine the users that have no web access (no_access) unrestricted web access (Unrestricted) and std restricted access (Restricted).
Now I created a single Profile with the source networks as all our internal V-Lans.
Then I have 3 filter assignments no_access , unrestricted and restricted.
then 3 filter actions of the same names.
I also created local user groups using the corresponding AD group and added those into the filter assignments.
Then all hell broke loose and web access went really screwy and sites were blocked that were in the exception list and some people could access the net that shouldn't etc etc.
I think I went wrong somewhere but am not sure where?
I have disable the profiles for now and am using the global settings at present which is ok for a short time.
