Adding network to http proxy trouble....

If i add a network which is allowed to access the http proxy, the http proxy is restarted?!?!?!? download of user stop etc.... I mean it's easy i do notg remove just add and yes there the proxy goes down again.... So is there something i do wrong.... or is no one adding networks to the http proxy during working hours!!!
I do not like to do this in my free time!!!!

    In essence you are changing the configuration of the proxy, so yes the daemon must restart to reload the config.  

    So yes you will have to do that out of hours.  It is one or those things us admins have to expect in a busy environment I am afraid.

    FYI   The aua daemon will also restart so if you use SSO, some users maybe asked to login to the proxy after you have applied a change.

    Thanks for your response!
    Pherhaps there is a idea that the asg will notify me when a process will restart.... so i can choose if i want to restart or to apply the changes later...
    I have seen this feature somewhere before......
