eDirectory and v7.006 failes

Hi,

I Upgraded to v7.006 and now mij sso with edir failes. When i look in the
log file for authentication is see the following error:

name="Authentication failed" srcip="10.1.5.211" user="10.1.5.211" caller="http" reason="DENIED"

Notice that user= the ip adress of the client instead of the user name. It worked with v7.005

what happend?

    I would check my edir , dsrepair,.. it looks like edir will missunderstand the authentication request from the asg.
    I have installed ASL and ASG Ver 7.006 at some different netware networks, authentication is working well.
    Since 7.004 it is nice to have such a authentication and from patch to patch I can see that it will work better and better.
    Some missing points are still there, but the astaro team is working hard and good.

    There is a bug in 7.006 which Astaro is working on as we speak. If you require Edirectory authentication do not upgrade to 7.006. These are the 2 remedies they have had me try so far...none are working yet. I'm reinstalling back to 7.005.

    -re-enable SSO, re-add groups

    One of my customer has the same issue.  We turned off eDirectory and used Standard mode web proxy to get around this (which only worked after an Astaro reboot).  We are also seeing climbing concurrent connections (increase of 800-1000 per day) and wonder if any other eDirectory Astaro users are seeing this?  Spot the reboots in attached BMP.

    Got the same problem with the username seen as an ip address.

    Why can't Astaro just create a Bordermanager style CLNTRUST authentication method for us to use?.

    I know it's not as 'nice' as having transparant backend SSO, but at least it would get us all working AND could be used as a failback auth mode once they finally sort out the problems......

    Astaro need be far more careful with their QA, it does not look too good for us techie's when we recommend Astaro ASL as a solution, only to find it's riddled with bugs which take an age to get resolved.
