NTLM Authentication problem

I am using ASG120 release 6.305

I have configured the firewall to join the domain. A message appeared that i have successfully joined the domain. When i check the AD i could see the firewall joined as a computer in the domain. I have created the http_access group on the user OU then i added a few users on it. But when i login to the domain and try to access the internet the authentication pop up box always appear which should not happen [:S] and even if i type in my username and password i am still unable to access the internet.

  • Make sure you have NTLM enabled in your Domain Security Policy (Windows AD)... the default on newer systems is to have this turned off.

    If that doesn't work,
contact Astaro Support; they have a workaround that involves putting static entries in the Samba host file to make sure the unit finds the PDC (or PDC Emulator, as the case may be) --- the reason I say contact them is the change involves console changes, and without their saying to do that, you may void your support.
