Automatic update of Firefox not working with transp. proxy

Hi,

We're having problems with the automatic update of firefox. I know there's a new version released but it's not downloading it. In the help-menu in firefox it says: Downloading Firefox 2.0.0.4, but it never finishes.

Anyone having the same problem with ASL 6.305 and using the proxy in transparent mode? 

Should i whitelist any particular hosts?

    Set a Exception in your http Proxy for Target Host mozilla.org (Antivirus & Extension blocking)

    Creating an exeption for mozilla.org shouldn't be necessary. Firefox updates works fine on all our systems without it.

    Are you using transparent http-proxy? It's not working here. I have the same problem with windowsupdate and had to add some dns-hosts to solve it. Looks like the same problem with firefox.

    Still no luck with firefox though. Not updating as it should even if i've added mozilla.org as a dnshostname and added it to the skip-list.

    The problem was solved when i added mozilla.org and ftp-mozilla.netscape.com as multiple dns-hostname to the proxy skiplist.

    I have the same issue when trying to update my thunderbird and firefox
    I am using 7.402,I have transparent mode http
    I've added an exception on mozilla.org (antivirus/Extension blocking) and I 've added the following under
    Skip transparent mode hosts/nets : mozilla.org ,ftp.mozilla.org

    Any ideas?

    Quick update:

    when disabling HTTPS update works fine. I've created an exception for mozilla.com
    mozilla.org
    mozillamessaging.com

    but still nothing
